New 335i M Sport coupe

Priced at $116,700 and $129,900 respectively, the new Beamers are powered by a new three-litre twin-turbo straight six engine that is equipped with high precision injection and "valvetronic" fully variable valve management.

While the new 335i M Sport delivers the same 225kW and 400Nm of torque as its 335i predecessor, the coupe's fuel-consumption figure has been cut to 8.4-litres/ 100km and the convertible's to 8.0-litres/100km. Buyers can specify either the standard six-speed manual gearbox or the optional seven-speed double clutch transmission that has been blessed with new gearshift paddles. In seven-speed guise the coupe to sprint to 100km/h in 5.4 seconds.

Also available for the 335i M Sport models is a M Sport body kit that includes 19-inch double-spoke light-alloy wheels and for the interior there are M Sport door sills, a multi-function sports steering wheel, aluminium trim highlights and BMW's so-called "individual" anthracite for the headliner.

The 335i M Sport also comes standard with the lowered, stiffer suspension.
