SEVEN82MOTORS’ August auction is LIVE
The SEVEN82MOTORS August auction is live, offering a fresh selection of show cars, classics, customs, street machines and hot rods. There are 69 vehicles on offer - 19 of which are offered with No Reserve - in an auction that opened on 1 August and closes on 10 August.

Leading the way in this auction is ‘ROAR 49’, the multi-award winning 1949 Chevy 3100 pickup built over eight years by some of the best automotive craftsmen in Australia. Powered by an LSA supercharged 6.2-litre V8, hooked up to a 6L90e six-speed auto and nine-inch diff, this fully customised pickup also features independent front and four-link rear suspension on airbags, 20-inch wheels, and a handcrafted interior with a Mercedes-Benz A Class dash.
Making its debut at the 2023 Sydney Hot Rod & Custom Show, ROAR 49 was invited to Meguiar’s MotorEx, where it scored a Super Six award in Meguiar’s Superstars, following that up with an Elite Top 10 at Summernats 37 and feature article in Street Machine.
ROAR 49 may be the headline act for SEVEN82MOTORS’ 1-10 August auction, but it’s not the only star, with more than 60 other high-quality cars to choose from.
Australian
Classic and custom Holdens in the August auction include an HK Monaro GTS with subtle engine mods and a transmission upgrade, two HG Monaro GTS coupes (one with No Reserve), a genuine LC Torana GTR and an LC Torana GTR XU-1 tribute (No Reserve), HZ Sandman ute replica, LX Torana SS hatch, VL Commodore Walkinshaw tribute with a supercharged 421 V8 and T400, restored HQ SS, EH Special wagon, and a tuff HQ Monaro GTS coupe with a 402 V8 and M22 manual.
Aussie Fords in the August auction include a genuine XA Falcon GT hardtop, XB Falcon GT hardtop replica, custom XB hardtop with a 429 stroker (No Reserve), genuine XA Falcon GT sedan in 1-of-1 spec (No Reserve), XT Falcon GT replica with 347 Stroker, XL Falcon Futura sedan with mild custom touches, custom XE Fairmont Ghia ESP, and a stunning ZC Fairlane in Reef Green with a rare Golde sunroof.
American
If American iron is your thing, you’re really spoilt for choice in this auction, with some of the notable offerings including a 2007 Shelby GT500, a 1961 Cadillac Series 62 convertible and 1962 Series 62 hardtop, fully restored 1957 Ford Thunderbird, 1953 Ford F100 with an LS powerplant and other custom touches, a patinated 1981 Chevy C10 pickup, a 1999 Ford F-150 Lightning pickup, 1962 Chevy Bel Air 2-door sedan, and a rare 1964 Buick Skylark for starters.
Corvette offerings include a 1962 C1 with a 327, show-winning 1967 C2 convertible with a 427 and four-speed manual, and a 1969 C3 convertible with a 454 Big Block. If Camaros are more your style, there’s a first-year 1967 SS 396 coupe, customised 1970 RS with a 410 Big Block, genuine 1970 Z28 with RS options and numbers-matching 350, plus a 2017 ZL1 coupe with local RHD conversion and all the mod cons.
Mustangs in this auction include 1965 and 1966 GT A Code convertibles, a ’67 Eleanor replica convertible, 1968 X Code fastback (No Reserve), ’72 Mach 1 in RHD with a 429, and a genuine 1967 Shelby GT500.
For a tough-looking ride, how about a sinister black ’65 Impala SS hardtop with a 421 Stroker, T400 auto and a Dakota Digital gauge cluster. There’s also a 1970 Dodge Charger R/T 440, Pro Touring 1970 Plymouth Barracuda 440, a genuine, restored 1970 Ford Torino 429 Cobra Jet, and a 2023 RAM 1500 TRX pickup with less than 200kms.
Rare and Unusual
While new Dodge Challengers have been imported in some numbers, the new Charger sedan is much, much rarer in Australia. The one in the August auction is a 2023 model with the 392 Hemi and factory Scat Pack widebody treatment. RHD conversion was completed locally, and the car has only 81km on the odometer.
Other odd and uncommon vehicles in this auction include a Lakes-style 1928 Ford Model A roadster, LS-powered 1958 VW Beetle, 1968 Chevy Impala convertible, 1971 Plymouth Duster, 1985 Ford Bronco with a 351 and big suspension lift, and a 1972 South African Ford Fairmont rebuilt to Aussie Falcon GT spec.
