Sydney Motor Show 2006
The Sydney Motor Show was a great celebration that saw 37 brands on display, with no less than 31 vehicles revealed for the first time, plus more than 500 cars on display. This show was perhaps a little different from some others in that there some exotic supercars, plenty of performance machines and some fabulous concepts providing pointers to future motoring directions, but there was a new found concern with alternative fuels and hybrids. In past years diesel cars were considered second rate passengers at the show, but this year, manufacturers proudly heralded the latest diesel powered cars to join their ranks.
Among the supercars was the drop dead gorgeous Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, the Audi R8, Maserati GranSport MC Victory and the stunning Bentley GTC. Convertibles were back in force as were a new wave of compact urban transporters. Just when you think the market can take no more, even more lightweight 4x4s were revealed, while at the heavyweight end of the 4x4 market, Holden revealed the new Hummer H3 it will be introducing next year, Ford its new Ranger ute, while Volvo revealed the beautiful AWD S80 coupe. Once again Just World Cars was there to capture all the new cars and it is our pleasure to bring you our annual motor show special. Take some time to dream as I'm sure there is something here that really does it for you!
