This is a well-maintained, rust-free, classic Mini which has travelled only 41,600 miles. It was built as a 998cc automatic.
In 2006, with approximately 30,000 miles, it was exported by a UK dealer. Prior to the export, it was stripped, had any rust removed, and had a full body respray.
The importer, Northern Mini Parts in Victoria, replaced the engine and gearbox with a rebuilt 998cc Cooper engine over-bored to 1036cc and a manual gearbox. After a short period, it went into storage.
In 2012, it was sold to a classic vehicle restorer, who refitted the interior and reconditioned the electrics. It went onto the Victorian Historic Register with 35,450 miles.
In 2014, it was sold to a Mini enthusiast who rebuilt the gearbox and fitted Cooper S brakes.
In 2018, it was sold to an electrical aeronautical engineer who refurbished the electrics and fitted multiple relays. Included is a large folder of extensive documents to support this history.
