Seller's Description
This unique 1934 Ford Estate Wagon bus was originally intended to be built as a woodie wagon but has been completely hand built as an eight seater bus from a donor 1934 cowl and a truck chassis sourced from Kingaroy. It debuted in 2007 and made an impact on enthusiasts everywhere it went, winning Top Ten awards at it's first two appearances. It has since travelled 26000 klms and is road proven and showing it's age. The paint has superficial issues and the vehicle would be best repainted. Rear airbags are a feature to aid in raising the rear overhang to negotiate inclined driveways without scraping. The donor front end is HT Holden with an HQ Holden disc brake upgrade. The coach body is formed from 40 mm RHS Duragal rolled where required. The main body is entirely steel with the roof being epoxy coated honeycomb panelling commonly used in boat construction. The roof is so strong it can be walked on. The bus is powered by a Toyota Lexus 1UZ-FE V8 engine with the standard Lexus 4 speed overdrive transmission. The seats are Transport Seating Technology ADR approved recliners with integrated seat belts. The first six windows are electric and wind down to open the entire window openings for great air flow. LED taillights, indicators and destination board. Large F100 sway bars to limit body roll. Reversing camera. Nine inch four bar link Ford diff. This unique vehicle could be re-birthed as a camper, unique promotional vehicle or hot rod hearse. This amazing creation is consigned with us and is available for inspection in Morningside Qld by appointment only. It is currently registered in Queensland on LH10.
