1938 morris 8 40 4 sp manual 2d convertible

Seller's Description
Just arrived - This 1938 Morris Series II 8/40 tourer is a fantastic entry-level classic. The Morris Eight was a great success in its day, so much so that it accounted for almost 30% of the domestic market. This particular car has been under long-term ownership. They have loved and enjoyed the car, and now look for someone else to continue the Morris' journey. We could certainly picture it escorting a Lady or Gent to the Distinguished Gentlemen's Drive or Bay to Birdwood. Powered by a 918cc Morris 'UB' side-valve 4 cylinder motor with a later 4 speed manual transmission, the Eight achieved a whopping 23.5bhp (wow!). The current owners gave the Morris a restoration many years ago and have been enjoying it as a driver since. Despite being an older restoration, the Morris still presents very well. The striking red paint is accented nicely by the black roof, and it certainly turns heads. Open the door to a neat black interior with red piping, and there is a surprising amount of room. The soft top roof is perfect for nice days, where you can put the roof down and enjoy the breeze. These cars are getting rarer and harder to find in good condition, and they're great value for money. Known for their simplicity, the Morris is a perfect option for those looking to enter classic car ownership.
