Only the second Australian owner of this gorgeous 239ci flathead V8 convertible, first imported to Melbourne in 2016. Purchased in 2020 and have since converted the electrical system from 6-12v, which is not easy nor cheap. It is now a super reliable vehicle with the most recent service on 25 June. This car originally came out with all the desirable optional extras – Columbia overdrive (for highway cruising on 2nd and 3rd gear), wing mirrors, a chrome numberplate surround, and an original leather interior with pristine door cards. Drives with a substantial amount of power in comparison to how she ran previously. I opted for the alternator that looks like the old generator. Genuine white wall tyres, power window wipers. Two 6v Optima red top batteries as the power convertible top and overdrive operate on 6v, everything else is 12v. She is a real head-turner, and plates “BIFF46” are available at additional cost. The original spats, the ability to convert back to 6v with original parts, spats, and a custom cover from Purfit Car Covers. A fantastic car for a Back to the Future fan or otherwise.
