The 2 seat Austin Healey 3000 variant known as the BN7 has become one of the most sought after 6 Cylinder Healey's, with their uncompromising styling, and lower production figures. For ease of use with the increased performance, the original ‘Side-Shift’ gearbox was replaced by a later ‘Centre-Shift’ gearbox, equipped with a ‘Rally’ gear knob activated overdrive, the brakes have been power boosted, the front brakes now feature 4 piston Volvo calipers & ventilated discs as well as the fitment of telescopic shock absorbers (Bilstien) front and rear.
For better reliability, the cooling system has been greatly improved, with an alloy radiator, large thermatic fan and an electric water pump (in addition to the mechanical), a spin on oil filter has been installed, a high torque started motor fitted as well as an alternator
