1961 Pontiac Bonneville “Vista” Pillarless Hardtop – Rare in Australia A genuine US-made 1961 Pontiac Bonneville “Vista” 4-door pillarless hardtop — Pontiac’s top-of-the-line luxury model of the era and an exceptionally rare sight in Australia. Finished in Coronado Red with maroon tri-tone Morrokide interior, this example presents in excellent driver-quality condition and has benefitted from substantial mechanical investment in recent years. Imported to Australia in 2013 from the USA and carefully improved since, this Bonneville retains its original Hydramatic automatic transmission, power steering and power brakes, while receiving substantial upgrades for reliability, safety and drivability. Engine & Performance Originally delivered with a 389ci V8, the engine has recently undergone a comprehensive rebuild (completed May 2023 at approx. 44,000 miles) and is now just over 400ci. Current output: approx. 380hp and 450 lb-ft torque.
