Seller's Description
This is the first year ford came out with the Torino model. They coupled the name with the Fairlane model because of its popularity. Ford only did this 2 year 68 and 69. You can see both the Torino and Fairlane decals on the automobile in the pictures. The 1970 and newer models are just ford torino. This was the pace car for the Indianapolis 500 in 1968. This vehicle is officially considered rare. This particular vehicle is the very highest type of this class because of the automatic convertible, bench leather seats and air conditioning. There were only around 3,300 of these made (only few were equipped with a 390) and who knows how many are still out there. The car is in immaculate condition. No oil leak, no smoke, lights and electrical in perfect working condition. This is a v8 390 cid 4 barrel carburettor this is a very sweet convertible. Everywhere i take it i get many compliments on it and i can see peoples eyes get wide when they see it. I have had the engine rebuilt, the trani rebuilt. The power steering rebuilt, and the carb rebuilt. It runs like a champ. Midnight blue, favorite colour. Brand new soft top. I left all original intact. I have the original leather cover for the convertible top when its down. No rust. Garage stored. I have the original build sheet paper, pink slip logbook and service record with me.
