Just arrived - This 1969 MGC GT is a rare and wonderful British classic. If you love the look of an MGB but want something just a little different with a bit more power, this is certainly the car for you, and with just 4,457 GTs built, it is quite a rare car. Based on the MGB, the MGC received the same 2.9L 6-cylinder motor from the Austin 3000, which made it one of the fastest MGs produced at the time. Originally from California, this particular MGC was imported to Australia in 1990. The current owner then purchased the vehicle and began the restoration, which lasted over the next 10 years. Powered by the standard 2.9L 6-cylinder, the MGC is paired with a 4-speed manual transmission with overdrive. This engine was rebuilt, including a mild cam and a lightened flywheel. The crank and flywheel were balanced, a new water pump was fitted, the gearbox and overdrive were fitted with new bearings and oil seals, the brakes were fully reconditioned, and the car saw a new brake master cylinder, wheel cylinders, brake booster, adjustable shockers, and all new suspension bushes. The MGC was then resprayed in its original red and received an all-new black interior by Winner Products. Finished with a set of chrome wire wheels, the MGC GT now presents wonderfully for its age. Along with the car comes an extensive file of receipts showing all the pieces that went into this restoration.
