I inherited this vehicle after my husband passed away. Owned by two generations of our family in Orange, NSW. Purchased (locally) in approx.1977.
Vehicle has been garaged entire life, no rust, low mileage.
Originally owned by my in-laws (vehicle purchased when it was about 3 yrs old).
After my father-in-law passed, there was a period of about 10yrs when the car stood garaged and not used at the family home. My mother-in-law did not drive.
The car was then taken on by my husband.
No air-conditioning, no sun-roof.
This vehicle is a DS-19, engine capacity 1985c cc (2 litre).
4 speed front wheel drive, manual (99 horsepower).
Odometer is in MILES, 73,269 miles (as at 03.SEPT.2025), approx.117,915 KM.
I've been asked many times about the odometer of the car, but the odometer is definitely set to MILES and not KM.
As far as I am aware, the odometer has 'not gone around once or twice already', it is as it has always been.
Registered till March 2026. Driven approx. fortnightly in this local area, by me.
Restoration 1: Approx. 2011-2012. All hydraulic spheres replaced and restored.
Restoration 2: Approx. 2013-2014. Complete re-spray of vehicle in original colour and new interior fabric professionally fitted, amongst other smaller improvements and imperfections restored.
Comes with some tools and spares, an Owners Manual and a nylon car cover (dust protector). Has a Bluetooth radio and a HUD (head-up display) displaying the speed in KM on the windscreen in front of you.
In 2023 I took the car off historic plates and put in on ordinary plates. In accordance with NSW laws, this required the vehicle having a 'blue 'slip'. The car passed, nothing was flagged, and I was able to re-register the car using the blue slip that was issued.
