These 1980 C20 Chevrolet Custom Deluxe pickups were imported knocked down into Australia and assembled by General Motors Holden in Melbourne for use by the Australian Military. After 5 years of service they were released to the public for use by tradies as work vehicles. This an Australian Complianced right hand drive production pickup. This unique C20 has been extensively customised to the owner's taste and vision with the entire project taking 2 years. Now powered by a LS1 5.7 Litres VH Statesman engine and the widely adopted 460LE six speed transmission. Lokar Overdrive shifter. The diff is the original Dana LSD with drum brakes while the front brakes are the factory power-assisted discs. The pickup has Saginaw power steering and a Sanden under dash A/C unit. The rear 16 x 10 inch steel wheels are shod with Hoosier 31 x12.5 R16 radials and the front 16 x 8 steel wheels have Geolander 235/85.R 16 LT radials. Twin exhaust with extractors. For the one of a kind custom bed 2 inch thick Australian Blue Gum slabs were sourced then milled and planed by the owner with epoxy resin highlight features added to create a truly eye-catching finished product. Rear 1977 Ford LTD tailamps. New rubber seals, new windscreen and complete custom interior in velour and leather. New carpets with Dynamat and underlay fitted throughout the cab. Refinished in Mazda Cherry Black 2k. Twin 75 litre fuel tanks with left and right side filler caps and an electric transfer pump. Deleted front bumper bolts for a clean look.
