This is a rare opportunity to own a highly collectable genuine 1986 Holden HDT VL SS Group A Plus Pack. Built in Dec 1986, this gorgeous VL is build number 285 (3829) of just 500 original VL SS Group A cars and 1 of approximately 173 with a factory-fitted Plus Pack. Sold new from Graeme Blanchard Holden in Dandenong, the VL is driven by its matching numbers 304 (4.9L) 'LV2' code V8 and an 'M39' code 5-speed T5G manual transmission. The VL received a minor restoration in 2001, in which it was fitted with a mild Crane Cams camshaft and performance air cleaner (original to go with). Finished in factory Permanent Red, the VL received a respray at the same time, and it still looks incredible for the vehicle's age. It displays all of its correct decals, the factory-fitted body kit, bonnet scoop, and spoiler, which are all in very good condition. The Light Grey interior remained untouched save for an upgraded radio; however, the original radio is still with the car. This well-preserved interior features the original Momo sports steering wheel pad, a Momo HDT gear knob with the 5-speed decal, and the dash ID plate showing the car's build no. Under the bonnet, the original Peter Brock energy polarizer is still nestled where it was fitted by the factory. The VL is finished off beautifully by a set of factory-optioned 16x8 Momo star rims that are in fantastic condition. This wonderful package includes copies of the books and a large file of receipts documenting maintenance and work performed over the years. Even the original delivery docket and GMH inspection certificate are present. Definitely one for the collector, this is a rare opportunity to own a legendary, genuine SS Group A in fantastic condition with amazing documentation.
