Wow this is a rare find - The Panther Kallista is a Thirties-inspired sports car with attractive roadster lines on proven Ford mechanicals. From the total Kallista production of 1,740 cars between 1982 and 1991, just three were officially imported into Australia when new, with approximately seven more coming in as private imports, making the car on offer here an exceptionally rare machine. The car is powered by a 2.9 Ford 'Cologne' V6 engine and a Sierra 5-speed manual gearbox. The Kallista sits on a steel chassis with all-aluminium bodywork. The rack and pinion steering is also lent from a Sierra, with a Cortina Mark IV front end and Capri rear axle. Its front windscreen and side windows are MG items, with a leather-clad interior and a weatherproof soft-top. Nice touches include the chrome wire wheels, Walnut dash and door cappings, radio/cassette with speakers in the doors and a heater unit.
