Just arrived - This 1994 Holden Commodore VR Series II Acclaim is a well-kept original. With a more modern design than its predecessors, the VR received a large number of safety features. It was the first car in Australia to receive a driver airbag, and the Acclaim package followed that up with ABS brakes, IRD, and cruise control. Targeted at families for the increased safety, the Acclaim was very successful. The VR also saw upgrades to the castor, camber, scrub radius, roll centre, and track which made for an all-round better handling vehicle that sat tighter to the road. All Acclaim model cars were fitted with the GM 4L60-E 4 speed automatic transmission and this VR also received the 3.8L V6, producing 165 hp. The VR was delivered new from Plaza Holden and comes with its original handbook. The current owner purchased the VR in 2001 at approx. 52,000kms and has kept it in wonderful condition. Many parts have been replaced over the years where necessary to keep the car running and looking its best. Finished in 'Kirra aqua' which is still beautiful for the age of the vehicle, the VR presents really nicely.
