The Ford Falcon was produced in Australia between 1960 and 2016. In 1979 fourth generation Falcon was released, including the ‘XG’ which was produced from March 1993 to April 1996, with the highest specification ‘XR-6’ model, introduced in October 1993, benefited from the EDs 161kW XR-6 4.0L SOCH engine.
Replacing the XF’s 3.9L engine the newer, 4.0L SHOC engine in the XG resulted in a smoother, quieter, better performing package whilst the suspension and chassis remained the same. This Falcon runs on both petrol and LPG, providing better economy and range.
This XR-6 was sold by ‘The Fury Group’ of Lidcombe NSW on 29/3/1995 as evidenced by the original owners manual. The XG features parts of the EDs interior including instrument cluster, steering wheel, seats and centre console. Quad headlights are the prominent external feature that differentiate the XR-6 from the lower spec XGs.
This XG presents well, benefiting from a re-spray in 2019 finished it’s original colour of Gunmetal Grey duco with Slate cloth trim. The ute has been fitted with a removable colour matched fibreglass canopy cover providing security for the rear tray and is equipped with a tow bar. 4 Inovit 18” x 8” wheels and tyres are included.
