2025 AFD highlight - 2023 Shelby F-150 Super Snake Centennial Edition
RAM led the way in bringing big American pickup trucks to Aussie roads. Chevrolet has followed with the Silverado, Ford has brought back the F-150, and Toyota has introduced the Tundra. Most of these are “work” or “offroad” trucks, though. Street trucks are still a pretty rare sight, so the late-model Shelby F-150 Super Snake that was at this year’s All Ford Day in Geelong attracted plenty of attention.

The biggest one-make car show in Australia, the 2025 edition of the All Ford Day celebrated 100 years of Ford Australia, which resulted in more than 1,600 display vehicles and record-breaking attendance numbers.
Pickups like this Shelby joined other American-made Fords, Aussie Fords, English Fords, Ford based hot rods and customs on the day, as well as Ford family vehicles, like Mercury and Lincoln.

Ford are bringing the F-150 into Australia, but they aren’t offering the Shelby version locally, so this pickup would have been a private import, with the RHD conversion most likely done by Mustang Motorsport, as they’re the only authorised Shelby mod shop in Australia.
Rare enough in standard form, what makes this Shelby F-150 special is that it’s a Super Snake, which is more of a street truck than the standard Shelby F-150. It’s also a ‘Centennial Edition’, which was released in 2023 to mark 100 years since Carroll Shelby’s birth.

Only 100 examples of the Shelby F-150 Super Snake Centennial Edition were created, all based on a 2023 F-150 Lariat 4x4 crew cab. Shelby additions included heavy duty adjustable suspension, traction bars and a sway bar at the rear, a ram air bonnet, branded grille, 22-inch Shelby wheels, deep front spoiler, extended sills and Shelby identification. Inside, the seats were retrimmed in leather and gained unique Shelby accents. Carbon fibre trim was also added, along with billet pedals, red ambient lighting and tinted windows.

The bigger change was under the bonnet, with the option of an 800hp (596kW) supercharged 5.0-litre V8 - as fitted to this vehicle - that also added new throttle bodies, a performance air intake and performance exhaust. A non-supercharged 400hp (298kW) version of the F-150 Super Snake Centennial Edition was also available.
