Falcon GT gets the 'ACCHS'
Pronounced "axe," the report is the creation of Australian Classic Car History Services (ACCHS), and is similar to the Marti reports available for US-built Mustangs. Currently, an ACCHS report is available for Ford Falcon GTs - 1967-76.
The report is available in two levels: Standard; and Deluxe. Importantly, the ACCHS report is officially licensed by Ford Motor Company, Australia.
The Standard ACCHS report supplies engine and transmission specs, paint and trim combinations, factory-ordered options and the original Ford dealership the car was originally delivered to.
The Deluxe ACCHS report is a more detailed birth certificate for your Falcon GT, covering all the Standard report's data, as well as the build number sequence of the car, stats relating to how many other GTs were built with the same options, as well as how many more examples of the same model were sold by the particular dealership.
The Standard ACCHS report costs $33 for an electronic copy, while the Deluxe ACCHS report is $66. An extra $22 option for either report is a hard copy, printed on high quality paper stock affixed with FoMoCo security label, delivered by registered post.
In addition to being valuable documentation for GT owners, the ACCHS report will be an invaluable source of information for those looking to buy a Falcon GT. The service is expected to expand to cover other Falcons and Ford Australia manufactured vehicles in the future.
ACCHS is the creation of, GT Historian, Mark Barraclough.
"Finally enthusiasts can find out all the information on their cars production history and display these details in an attractive certificate at car shows," Barraclough said. "It's been a long time coming."
