New attractions added for 2022 Geelong Revival
For its second running in 2022 this coming 25-27 November, the Geelong Revival Motoring Festival will introduce new attractions aimed at intriguing and thrilling visitors, including an electric vehicle precinct and action-packed stunt show.
‘Electric Avenue’ will see a section of the Eastern Beach Lawn on the Geelong waterfront devoted to current electric cars and motorcycles, EV conversions of classic cars and developments in EV charging infrastructure.
Additionally, a number of electric vehicles will be taking part in the quarter mile sprints, so if you want to know what 0-100km/h acceleration in 3 seconds looks like – and sounds like – make sure you’re on the Geelong waterfront to experience it all this November.
The other addition this year is a stunt show with a difference, as there will be action on the ground and in the air. Matt Mingay’s Stuntz Inc. will be providing the thrills on terra firma, with the aerial daredevilry still to be confirmed at time of writing.
Beyond these new attractions, the 2022 Geelong Revival (version 2 for 2022!) will continue to be centred around the unique quarter mile sprints on Ritchie Boulevard, with other returning favourites including the Shannons Classic Motorshow, Motorcycle Mecca display, the supercar paddock, vintage caravan and boat displays, the Big Wheels 4x4 and truck display, a trade expo with several market stands, live music, the national vintage fashion awards and more.
Public entry to all elements of the show is free except pit access and VIP hospitality.
Pit passes are $25/person each day ($15 concession, $10 kids, $30 family) and allow you to see all the sprint vehicles up close, have a chat to the drivers and soak up the atmosphere.
For the premium Geelong Revival experience, a VIP pass to the pits is also available for $185/person each day, including buffet lunch, morning and afternoon tea, a full bar and snacks. VIP passes are available to purchase individually or as part of a custom corporate hospitality package.
With more than 300 entries expected for the quarter mile sprints, along with a further 500+ static display cars and motorcycles, the Geelong Revival Motoring Festival this coming 25-27 November is an event that shouldn’t be missed.
