Nissan GT-R Black Edition coming
Performance is unchanged from the standard GT-R Premium (that means 404kW and 628Nm), but the Black Edition features a number of exclusive exterior and interior touches.
On the outside, the GT-R Black Edition features RAYS super-lightweight, forged-alloy 6-spoke wheels (20 x 9.5" Fr, 10 x 10.5" Rr), finished in black. The GT-R's rear spoiler, normally finished in body colour, is left in bare carbon fibre on the Black Edition. All six body colour options are available on the Black Edition.
On the inside, the standard front seats are replaced with a pair of Recaro sports buckets, trimmed in red and black leather, with the two-tone treatment also applied to the steering wheel and gear shifter. The dash, centre console and doors are all trimmed in black, with contrasting red leather door grips.
Rear seat passengers also get black dual individual seats, as per the GT-R Premium in black trim.
"The GT-R Black Edition has already proved popular in other markets, so we are pleased to introduce this exciting model to Australia," said Nissan Motor Co (Australia) Managing Director and CEO William F Peffer Jr.
The Nissan GT-R Black Edition has a Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price of $182,500 (estimated drive-away price of $199,990*), which is an $11,000 premium (approx.) over a standard GT-R. The GT-R Black Edition will be available from authorised Nissan dealers from June.
* Maximum recommended drive-away price based on registration in Western Australia including statutory charges, dealer delivery and luxury car tax. Excludes government, rental and national fleet customers. Prices will vary from dealer to dealer. Premium or prestige paint available at extra cost.
