SEVEN82MOTORS’ September auction goes LIVE today
SEVEN82MOTORS’ next stock drop auction goes live today, Friday, 1 September, with more than 50 cars up for grabs. Neon signs and highly desirable petrol bowsers are also a part of this big, 11-day online auction.
The most recent SEVEN82MOTORS auction attracted a diverse bunch of classic, custom, muscle and restomod cars, including some true rarities. This auction has just as much variety, with 52 cars consigned, including 13 lots that are being offered with No Reserve.
Available cars include XY GT and Charger R/T tributes, a Dodge Challenger SRT8, two Boss 302 Mustangs, multiple Monaros, some very cool pickups and a ’56 Chevy Bel Air that’s being offered by Toby Price.
Of course, all the cars are of the high standard that SEVEN82MOTORS are renowned for.
Memorabilia is back for this auction, with 13 neon signs (Chevrolet, Camaro, Coca-Cola, Ford, Mustang and others) available, plus Michelin and Esso statues, but the hottest items are four restored genuine petrol pumps (Bennet, Wayne and Erie brands), with Texaco, Phillips and Sinclair livery.
The September auction runs for eleven days, with online bidding open from 6:00PM on Friday, 1 September, and closing from 6:00PM (QLD time) on Monday, 11 September.
Inspections can be made at SEVEN82MOTORS’ premises (2 Palings Court, Nerang) on the following days:
- Thursday 7 September from 5:00PM to 8:00PM (Thursday Late Night Shopping) public event
- Saturday, 9 September, from 8:00AM to 2:00PM (Saturday Show Day) public event
- Monday 11 September from 9:00AM to 4:00PM (Last Minute Monday) for genuine inspections.
On the Thursday and Saturday Open Days, there’s much more to see and experience than just the cars. A DJ is on site and The Brass Monkey Barber Shop will be open for haircuts and cut-throat shaves. Big Benny’s Diner will be serving great food and the ‘Rolla Girls’ will be in action, too. There’s also the memorabilia display, neon collection, soda collection and Texaco collection to check out.

Lot 67 – 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air restomod
Sports Coupe, full custom rebuild, LS3, T350, custom interior, offered by Toby Price
This highly customised classic Chevy comes to auction from the collection of Toby Price. The two-time Dakar champion, nine-time Finke Desert Race winner and all-round motorsport legend has other car projects in the works, so is putting this one to auction.
The Bel Air’s sports coupe (pillarless two-door) body is stock, as is the chassis, but just about everything attached to it has been upgraded as part of a comprehensive restomod rebuild.
The body is finished in a deep blue metallic, which Price chose to have cover the entire body, instead of going for the usual two-toning seen on ’56 Bel Airs. Wheels have been upgraded to 20-inch REV Rambler alloys and all the chrome and stainless has either been replated, refurbished or replaced.
This car’s factory V8 was replaced with a modern GM LS3 6.2-litre V8 during the rebuild, with the transmission similarly upgraded to a Turbo350 automatic. A larger radiator and custom exhaust are also part of this package. Tubular arm and coil spring suspension has been fitted up front, with the rear suspension upgraded to a full four-link set-up. Brakes have been upgraded to power-assisted discs on all four wheels and there’s also power steering with a CPP steering box.
Inside, a full retrim using TMI Products includes custom front bucket seats, rear bench seat and doorcards trimmed in leather, plus an aftermarket steering column and Forever Sharp steering wheel. A retro-look Lokar floor shifter has been added and the factory gauge cluster has been filled with Dakota Digital instruments. An aftermarket air con system has been fitted, too.
Rarely used while in Price’s ownership, this Bel Air presents outstandingly well, with even the fully painted and detailed undercarriage looking fresh.
Price will provide a signed Red Bull KTM jersey for the winning bidder.

Lot 15 – 1954 Ford Country Squire station wagon
Full restoration, Y block V8, trans and brake upgrades, refurbished interior, three-row seating
A model rarely seen in Australia, the Country Squire was Ford’s premium family offering for 1954, part of the Crestline grade and spec’d and priced above a Ranch Wagon and Country Sedan.
This one was purchased out of California as an incomplete project in 2011 and subjected to a full, two-year restoration here in Australia.
The body was stripped to bare metal, repaired where required, then resprayed in factory Sea Mist Green, with the fiberglass faux wood side panels refurbished and woodgrain decals replaced. All the chrome and stainless exterior trim was either refurbished or replaced, too. Chrome smoothies are modern additions, but have a factory look, enhanced by whitewall tyres.
The engine is a rebuilt original 239ci Y-Block OHV V8, but the factory Ford-O-Matic three-speed automatic has been upgraded to a modern FMX auto. Brakes have been upgraded, too, with discs added to the front, but the factory power assist and power steering remain.
Inside, all the seat trims, carpeting and the hoodlining have been replaced, with new glass fitted all round, too. In a mild custom touch, selected sections of the interior, including the dash and door cappings, have been airbrushed in a woodgrain effect to match the exterior ‘woodie’ look.
Arguably the best example of a ’54 Country Squire in Australia, this wagon has seating for eight and is ready for a family to enjoy on club runs and at car shows. For more details on this car, click HERE.
Lot 48 – 1977 Holden LX Torana SS hatch
Genuine V8 SS, fully restored w/mild modifications, 308, 5spd, 4-wheel discs, original books
Originally built with a 253 and Trimatic, and finished in Absinth Yellow with black trim, this 1977 LX Torana SS hatch has been restored close to its original specification, with only a few variations.
Stripping the body to bare metal uncovered no significant rust, so only minor repairs were needed before new Pearl Yellow paint with black SS paintouts were applied. Suspension has been slightly lowered, with adjustable coil overs added at the rear and a set of Weld RT-S 71 15-inch wheels fitted.
The engine was upgraded to a 308 with a mild cam, Stripmaster intake manifold, Holley carby and MSD ignition fitted. The factory auto was replaced with a Supra five-speed manual during the rebuild and a BW LSD has been fitted. An upgraded cooling system has been fitted, too, incorporating twin thermo fans.
Inside, the Torana was restored to factory appearance, including retrimmed black vinyl seats with Herringbone cloth inserts, black carpets throughout (including in the boot area), new hoodlining and doorcards. The correct SS steering wheel and dash were retained, with the centre console to suit the switchover to a manual trans looking like it was factory installed.
Genuine LX Torana SS hatches without body mods (particularly wheelarch flares) are rare. This one includes the original owner’s manual and other literature. For more details on this car, click HERE.
Lot 44 – 2013 Dodge Challenger SRT8
Imported new to Aus and RHD converted, 6.4 Hemi V8, paddle-shift auto, ultra-low kms
With production of the modern Dodge Challenger to end this year, it’ll ramp up interest in all examples of the Mopar muscle machine.
This 2013 example was bought new in the US by the vendor and briefly driven over there before being imported into Australia and professionally RHD converted by Autosmith in Queensland.
RHD conversion aside, this Challenger is essentially as it came from the factory, with a black exterior. front and rear spoilers, retro-inspired full-width tail light and fuel filler cap, plus red calipers for the Brembo brakes that sit behind big, SRT-branded 20 x 9-inch alloys in Black Chrome.
The black exterior is matched with a Dark Slate Grey interior made up of leather and Alcantara seat trims with subtle red accents and SRT identification. Heated front seats, power driver’s seat, a leather-trimmed steering wheel, climate control air, satnav, Bluetooth and keyless starting are all standard. The stereo and satnav have been upgraded to Australian spec.
The 6.4-litre (392ci) Hemi V8 is the modern Challenger’s calling card, and in the MY13 SRT produces 470hp and 470 lb/ft (350kW and 637Nm), while inbuilt cylinder deactivation tech reduces fuel consumption. The Hemi is matched to the factory option six-speed sports automatic with paddle shifters. An LSD and adaptive suspension are also part of this car’s spec.
With only 4,300kms from new, this Challenger SRT comes with books and other documentation. For more details on this car, click HERE.

With one owner since local delivery, this 6.6-litre turbo diesel four-wheel drive pickup has been upgraded with several accessories, including driving lights, a lockable hard tonneau and additional bed rails.
Despite its dimensions, re-rating the towing capacity down to 4500kg means this Silverado can be driven on a car licence. The next owner could have it returned to the factory 9,000kg rating, but this requires a heavy vehicle licence and related vehicle usage restrictions.
The SEVEN82MOTORS September online auction opens for bidding from 6:00PM on Friday, 1 September, and runs to Monday, 11 September, with staggered closing times from 6:00PM (QLD time) on the 11th.
