The Ford Mustang is a household name worldwide. It has been produced since 1964 and is the longest-running nameplate for Ford. The Mustang was an instant success for Ford by utilizing parts of other vehicles such as the Falcon, making the Mustang an affordable American muscle sports coupe. With sales predicted to hit 100,000 vehicles in the first 12 months, Ford was inundated with orders and would produce 1,000,000 vehicles in the first 18 months.
The First Gen Mustang launched in 1964 and would run until 1973 with numerous restyles. Each restyle would see an increase in size and performance, and unfortunately, in 1973, it would see the end of what enthusiasts call the real Mustang heritage. 1969 saw the third restyle with the quad headlights now a standard feature across the range and an increase of nearly 100mm in length.
This highly original 1969 Mustang Hardtop Coupe was imported to Australia in 2011 and retains a significant amount of documentation including a presentation board with original Title, loan document, receipt, agreement, buyer's order, and owner card from 1969 as well as additional documents and Marti report. The miles travelled are believed to be genuine making this already desirable classic a unique find.
