Just arrived - This 1926 Austin 7 Van is fantastically unique. Found rotting away in a shed in South Australia, this little Austin has had quite the restoration. Beginning in 2021, the Austin 7 was stripped down and completely rebuilt into the racing support van tribute you see today. The car retained its SWB chassis but received a new floor, roof frame, bonnet, fibreglass mudguards, aluminium rooftop and sides, and custom-fabricated running boards. Powered by a 1935 747cc 4-cylinder 2 bearing motor, the engine received a new cylinder head manufactured by the Victorian Austin 7 club, new head and manifold studs, new oversized pistons and rings, new front and rear crankshaft bearings, and its ports matched to the extractors and inlets. This is paired to a 1935 4-speed gearbox wth synchromesh on second and third gears. The front and rear axles were donated from a 1936 Austin 7, along with cast-iron drum brakes. The Austin has been converted to 12 volt, with an inline water pump, new AccuSpark electronic distributor, and all LED lighting. Other parts fitted were all new universal joints, new bucket seats, a new dashboard, new bonnet. With plenty more that went into the 3-year build, finished in March 2024, the Austin 7 has covered approximately 500- 600 km since its completion. Finished off nicely with the custom 'Just for the LARFS' signage, the Austin 7 is a true head turner. This is an amazing, one-of-a-kind vehicle that you just couldn't recreate for the price. Ready to drive and enjoy, there's plenty of LARFS to be had in this beautiful classic.
