Seller's Description
For sale is my 1928 all steel ford roadster. Orihinally built by ace body man Keith Stamp This riadster has a long history of drag racing and DLRA salt lake racing in Australia. This car won many events and held a DLRA record for a few years reaching an average speed of 185mph. The car was then sold and a 2 year restoration followed, turning the roadster back into a street car adding a rebuilt 283sbc , muncie 4 speed manual transmission , 9 inch diff, rodtech 4 bar I beam front end with disc brakes, a windshield was also added. The car sat around for a couple of years and I purchased it in 2022. I traced its racing history and contacted the original builders who raced the car and asked if I could paint the car and put thier race numbers and name back on the car as I wanted to preserve its important history. We also added a hand made alloy cockpit cover thats easily removable via several dsus clips, added tall skinny wheels and tyres with moon discs (other wheels as pictured cone with it) and added a hand made alloy bomber seat, and removing the old interior giving it a very salt lake racer vibe. The roadster is very reliable and gets driven often and sometimes raced at hotrod events. The roadster has previously been fully registered in NSW, and currently has Full QLD registration. If you are after a perfect trailer queen hotrod, this is not the car for you. If yoy are after an actual real hotrod with loads of racing history and appreciate such a car, then I would love to hear from you. The car does need a few minor things, so I have priced it accordingly,. 0412 949 673
