Seller's Description
The 1949 Ford Prefect (Type E493A) was assembled in Geelong, Victoria, by Ford Australia to circumvent high import tariffs on fully built vehicles. While the base chassis and mechanics were from the UK, this is an Australian-assembled model and unique body style. Finished in royal blue with individual front driver and passenger seats, original draw cord rear blind. This well-loved example is ready for a new home. The 1940's styling includes a one-piece bonnet, a revised vertical-bar grille similar to the Ford V8 Pilot, and curvy front wings with headlamps integrated in their tops. This vehicle is complete and is currently not licenced. Open to offers. Inspection invited.
