1960 chrysler valiant v-200 project car automatic 4d sedan
Seller's Description
Just arrived - This 1960 Chrysler Valiant V-200 is another wonderfully unique base for a summer project. Offered under the Chrysler name for just one year, this is the American twin to the Aussie R Series. The V-200 is equipped with the 2.8L '170' slant 6-cylinder motor, as was standard for American-delivered cars, and optioned with a 3-speed 'Torq Flite' push-button automatic transmission. A Californian vehicle, the V-200 was imported to Australia in 2008 and remains in its original condition. The current owner used and drove the car for a number of years before putting it in storage with the intention of restoring it; however, the owner is now downsizing. The V-200 is presented in survivor condition, with plenty of patina and aging in usual areas. The interior is similarly original, with the door cards and several other parts stored in the boot. Mechanically, the car is currently able to run through an auxiliary fuel system (video can be provided upon enquiry), suggesting a fuel supply issue, and will require some attention to run on its own. However, these motors are well known to be hardy and easy to work on. This car is a nice starting point for a restoration, ideal for those looking to learn about paint and bodywork.
Please note: Test drives are not available for project cars. An appointment must be made to view the vehicle, as it is stored off our main property. Contact Ben Finnis - 0411 744 190.
