Family owned for the last decade, this classic British roadster is a true gem and a rare piece of automotive history. Powered by the original and rebuilt 1,147cc inline 4 with a pushrod OHV cylinder head and two valves per cylinder using twin SU carburettors, and a 4-speed manual transmission, its plenty powerful for Sunday driving and touring the Great Ocean Road here in Victoria! This MK1 features a classic Triumph Blue exterior and a black vinyl and cloth interior, woodgrain dash and steering wheel to suit the era. The convertible roof is the main attraction but also comes with a soft-top roof (fitting in the boot) and a tonneau cover that can be tucked behind seats and fitted for added protection and security when parked. The Spitfire has been registered here in Victoria for 5 years on Club Vic Plates and is a member of South Coast Classics INC, registration has been renewed 2 months ago but is not transferable to new owner, registration will be the buyer’s responsibility, of course a test drive is available to prospective buyer.
