Isuzu Bellett – “Goldy” – 5 Speed – QLD Blue Plate
Up for sale is my Gold Isuzu Bellett – known to most who’ve seen it as “Goldy”.
This is not a perfect, show-winning trailer queen. It’s an honest, sorted, well-loved classic that has had sensible upgrades done over the years to make it more usable and enjoyable to drive. If you’re looking for something original and untouched, this isn’t that car. If you want something you can actually drive and enjoy without being scared to turn the key – read on.
It runs a 5-speed gearbox conversion which makes a huge difference compared to the old 4-speed. Much nicer on the road and far more usable in modern traffic. It also has updated Mazda seats fitted – far more comfortable than the originals and make longer drives actually enjoyable. The car is fitted with a QLD blue modification plate covering the upgrades.
The paint presents well for a driver. It’s not concourse, but it’s tidy and turns heads. These little Belletts are getting harder to find, especially ones that haven’t rusted away or been chopped up beyond recognition. This one is solid and complete.
It starts, runs and drives. It’s been enjoyed, not stored away as an ornament.

If you’ve been looking for a usable classic Japanese car with character, charm and a bit of old-school cool, this could be the one. These don’t come up every day in this condition.
