As always with Burns & Co. auctions, whether you’re after Aussie or American muscle, an all-time favourite classic, internationally recognised icons, a collectable motorcycle, entry level club car or even a tractor, there is sure to be something to satisfy what you’re looking for.

Burns & Co are the Holden specialists
As has become standard with Burns & Co., there’s a selection of quality Holdens - both modern and classic - in the November auction catalogue.
Pick of the crop in the Newcastle showroom is an illustrious 1972 LJ GTR XU-1 ‘Bathurst Edition,’ in the ever-desirable Salamanca Red, with significant racing history and ownership provenance.
Also ready for inspection at Newcastle is another Holden synonymous with Mount Panorama: a 1970 HT Monaro GTS 350 ‘Bathurst’ manual, plus a 1969 HT Monaro GTS 186 manual (no reserve) and a 1973 HQ Monaro GTS coupe 253 V8 in the vibrant colour of Lone O’ranger.
Additional Holdens of note in this auction include a 1971 HQ Monaro GTS coupe with a stroked 355 V8, a 2017 HSV VF GTSR Maloo, ’77 HX GTS Monaro, ’86 VL Calais Turbo, ’69 HK Brougham and a ’65 HD Special. There’s also a a pair of EH Premier sedans, a ’97 Holden VS Commodore SS Police Pack, and a ’64 EH Special wagon, plus six other Holdens with no reserve – an FJ Special sedan, FJ ute, VN Berlina wagon, HT Premier, VE SSV Redline ute and a VY Maloo R8 ute.

Aussie Fords (and a Chrysler) to choose
Classic Australian-made Fords are just as desirable as their Holden counterparts, with a fantastic selection of ‘Blue Oval’ vehicles on offer in this latest catalogue.
Homegrown Fords to note include a pair of ’78 Ford XC Fairmont GXL 351 V8 sedans, a ’63 XL Falcon Futura, ’66 XP Fairmont sedan, and two XY Falcon GT tributes - one finished in Vermillion Fire and the other in Wild Violet.
Outside of the Ford family, there’s also a 1962 Valiant R Series on offer. One of only 1,008 assembled in Australia before the S Series replaced it, these cars were a big hit for Chrysler Australia and set them on the path to challenge Ford and Holden in the late 1960s. The R Series to be auctioned is mostly original and features the push-button automatic transmission, making it even rarer.

International motoring icons also on offer
For a motor vehicle that isn’t from the Land Down Under, you’ve got a lot of choice in the November catalogue, with prominent examples from the USA, UK, Europe and Japan.
One of the American headliners is a mean 1933 Dodge coupe in Sprint Red. Modernised with an 8.0lt V10 out of a Viper and numerous other upgrades, this hot rod is fully engineered and ready for the road, but retains aesthetics from the distant past.

Motoring enthusiasts will also be tempted by a 2023 Corvette Stingray 3LT convertible with just 856km, a rare 1929 Pierce-Arrow Brougham, ’29 Packard Standard Eight coupe, ’49 Oldsmobile Futuramic 76 club sedan, ’64 Dodge Phoenix sedan, ’61 Plymouth Valiant Signet (think 2-door Valiant S Series) and a ’70 International C1500 tray truck.
Classic US muscle includes a ’71 Chevy Camaro SS tribute, ’73 Corvette Stingray convertible and an ’87 Camaro IROC-Z. There’s a variety of US Fords, too, from an ’29 Model A woody and ’28 Model A roadster to a ’68 Torino, ’57 Thunderbird and ’29 Model AA truck.

If British and European motoring is more your style, there’s a tremendous selection of elegant classics, including a 1950 Jaguar XK150 Drophead Coupe, ’61 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud, ’85 Jaguar XJS HE, ’74 Volvo 144 De Luxe, rare ’49 Morris Six, eye-catching ’72 VW Beetle and a ’74 Mercedes 450 SEL sedan. Many of these are being offered with No Reserve.
For something newer from the UK and Europe, there’s also a 2009 Maserati Gran Turismo, 2015 BMW 535i M-Sport and 2015 Porsche Cayman, plus no reserve offerings in the form of a 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport, 2000 Jaguar XJ Sport and a 2008 Jaguar X Type.
If you’re keen on authentic and dependable Japanese motoring, the November auction presents a unique selection of vehicles, such as a 2001 Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R tribute and 1997 Toyota Celica, as well as two rare classic Toyota sedans in a ’69 Crown and ’78 Corona.

Motorcycles are on the menu, too!
Motorcycles form an important part of the November catalogue, led by desirable American classics, but with British and Japanese machinery in the mix, too.
Indians are the highlight this time around, including a sought-after 1927 Scout and rare 1926 Prince single. A museum-quality C1915 v-twin that’s being sold to finalise a deceased estate is also noteworthy, with a modern 2014 Chief Classic cruiser rounding out this group.
Other bikes include a 1961 BSA Golden Flash, 1975 Norton 850 Commando, 1973 Honda CB750, one-owner 1980 Honda CR80 Elsinore, 2001 Harley-Davidson Dyna Super Glide and a 1972 Honda Z50A Monkey Bike.
