Seller's Description
The extra factory fitted items are: Interior mats, external mirrors, sun visor, heater, & sump guard to protect the deeper auto sump.
The vehicle was manufactured by British Leyland Australia at Zetland, Sydney in March 1970. In appearance it is identical to the "K" with the same style body and interior. The engine is 998cc and has a larger carburettor and higher compression head to compensate for the auto box. The automatic is 4 speed and was available for a very limited period only, and as such is quite rare. A full history of the car is available, including the 'Driver's Handbook & Passport to Service'. This car is an outstanding example of the make and is suitable for collectors and club members without further restoration. Its original condition as a car of the late 60's early '70s creates a lot of interest when driven around. This was very noticeable when driven on the M1 and Gateway motorways to a Mimi Muster recently.
The original owner was a lady at Eidsvold, Qld, and the next was her daughter in Canberra who sold it to a member of the ACT mini club. It was then purchased in 2001 by the present owner who then lived at Kingaroy, Qld.
The vehicle is now located just north of Brisbane (near Caboolture) and inspections can be arranged.
