Snap-on Tools raise $303,000 for the McGrath Foundation
In their second year of going pink for a purpose, Snap-on Tools has raised more than $303,000 for the McGrath Foundation. Significantly exceeding the $250,000 goal announced ahead of the ‘Socket to Breast Cancer’ campaign that ran for the month of October, this year’s amount takes the total raised for the McGrath Foundation across 2024 and 2025 to more than $515,000. The money raised will fund McGrath Cancer Care Nurses who provide life-changing support to individuals and families experiencing cancer.

This year’s Socket to Breast Cancer campaign was once again powered by Snap-on’s limited-edition pink tool range that included tool boxes, a blow gun and hampers, as well as pink pliers, screwdrivers, torque wrenches and other products. The generosity of Snap-on Tools’ franchisees, customers and local communities nationwide saw McGrath Foundation supporters from all over Australia come together once again to make a difference, with workshops, garages and participants at motorsport events taking part.

Phil Read, a three-time National Top Fuel Champion and Snap-on ambassador, was on board for the campaign, driving awareness and fundraising by wrapping his Top Fuel Dragster in pink and black.
“It’s been amazing to see how the automotive and motorsport community has rallied behind this initiative,” said Read. “Everyone knows someone touched by breast cancer, and I’m proud to stand alongside Snap-on and the McGrath Foundation to help make a difference.”

Adam Wright, National Marketing and Product Manager, Snap-on Tools Australia & New Zealand, said this year’s fundraising total show what’s possible when a community comes together for a great cause.
“We’ve been blown away by the continued support for Socket to Breast Cancer,” said Wright. “Our franchisees and customers have helped us raise more than half a million dollars in just two years. It’s a true reflection of the power of our network and the generosity of the people behind it.”

Tracy Bevan, McGrath Foundation Ambassador and Director added: “We cannot thank Snap-on Tools enough for once again going above and beyond in their fundraising efforts for the McGrath Foundation. The incredible generosity that the Snap-on Tools team and supporters have shown throughout October has blown us away.
“The amazing donation of $303,000 will help us ensure that individuals and their families who are experiencing a cancer diagnosis have access to the support of a McGrath Cancer Care Nurse when they need it most.”
