Just arrived - This 1973 Ford XA Fairmont is a wonderful example of an Aussie classic. The XA saw success in motorsport with the likes of Moffat and Goss, and has become an Aussie muscle car icon. Delivered new at H.V. Faulkner & Co. in Mount Barker, this XA was sold in early 1973, optioned with front and rear mud flaps, a weather shield (since removed) and a push-button radio. Today, the XA is a three-owner car that has been enjoyed on club runs and events. The car is still equipped with its matching numbers 4.9L 302 Cleveland V8 motor and 3-speed automatic transmission. Finished in its original Summer Gold paint, the XA has received an older restoration and still presents rather tidy, but certainly not new at 53 years of age. The factory Parchment interior is complete and in beautiful condition for the vehicle's age, featuring its original Super Fringe bush-button radio and power steering. Recent jobs carried out include painting the wheels, a new radiator, tidying up the engine bay, and repainting the engine itself. To finish off this package nicely, the XA comes with its original books and an original sales document. Eligible for historic registration, join one of the many Ford clubs and enjoy minimal on-road costs and a community of like-minded enthusiasts. This is a beautiful example of an Aussie classic with some great history that would make a wonderful weekend cruiser.
