Subaru presents BRZ tS ‘Kiiro Limited Edition’

Subaru are introducing a new variant of their BRZ sports car for the Australian market in the form of the ‘Kiiro Limited Edition’. Based on the top-spec BRZ tS, the Kiiro Limited Edition comes with an exclusive paint finish, plus a range of interior and exterior cosmetic enhancements.

Of the 350 units of the Kiiro Limited Edition to be released globally, 95 are allocated for Australia, making it one of the most exclusive BRZ editions offered locally. The package will be available on manual and automatic transmission versions of the BRZ tS.

“BRZ continues to play a key role in Subaru’s performance story, defined by its engineering precision and authentic sports-car credentials,” said Scott Lawrence, General Manager, Subaru Australia. “The BRZ tS Kiiro builds on that foundation by expressing those qualities through distinctive visual and trim enhancements.”

Taking its name from the Japanese word for yellow – Kiiro – the limited edition is finished in Sunrise Yellow paint that’s exclusive to the model. Complementing this bold finish are 18-inch alloy wheels in matte black and a ‘Kiiro’ badge, also in matte black, on the rear of the vehicle.

Inside, the Kiiro Limited Edition features contrasting yellow stitching on the seats and steering wheel, with yellow perforated centre sections added to the Ultrasuede and leather accented front seats. A Kiiro dash badge with the car’s individual build number also features inside.

Mechanical spec is unchanged, meaning a 2.4-litre flat four engine, matched to either a six-speed manual or six-speed sports automatic transmission and rear wheel drive. The engine produces 174kW and 250Nm, which is also unchanged from the BRZ tS. However, being based on the tS spec means the Kiiro Limited Edition gets extra equipment that the base BRZ and BRZ S miss out on, like STI-tuned suspension and Brembo brakes.

List pricing for the Kiiro Limited Edition is $53,590 (+ ORCs), which is an $800 premium over the BRZ tS ($52,790 + ORCs). Subaru’s standard 5-year/unlimited km warranty and 5-year capped price servicing applies. Orders opened in January. For more information and to order, see your Subaru dealer.
