The capability of the Toyota GR Supra in its debut season in Supercars has already been proven in sprint races. Now, the Supra has stood up in enduros, too. At the AirTouch 500 at The Bend – the first round of Supercars’ Ryco Enduro Cup for 2026 – Chaz Mostert and Fabian Coulthard of Walkinshaw TWG Racing prevailed in a race marked by wet and wild conditions to take victory. Joining Mostert/Coulthard on the podium was Walkinshaw TWG team mate, Ryan Wood, who finished third with Jaxon Evans co-driving.
Victory at The Bend follows Toyota’s first win in Supercars back in April at the Taupo 440 in New Zealand, delivered by Wood. That was followed by victories at the Tasmania Super 440 for Walkinshaw TWG (Mostert) and Brad Jones Racing (Andre Heimgartner).
After qualifying in eleventh (with Wood/Evans fourteenth on the grid), the Mostert/Coulthard GR Supra avoided the early dramas on a very wet track. Gaining a position on the opening lap, Coulthard had advanced to fifth on lap 2, then second later in his stint. In torrential rain, the Kiwi co-driver would lead the 500km enduro before handing over to Mostert.
Once in the car, Mostert started to climb through the field to be in second midway through the 147-lap race, then leading a few laps later as the rain stopped and the track started to dry out. With Wood also on song, the Walkinshaw TWG Racing Supras were running 1-2 with 50 laps to go.
Mostert held his lead after the final round of pit stops, with Wood slipping back to third behind Kai Allen (Grove Racing). The last handful of laps were uneventful for the Toyotas, with Mostert coasting to victory by 18.5 seconds. For co-driver Coulthard, it was his first Supercars win since 2020, which coincidentally was also at The Bend.

The second and final round of the Ryco Enduro Cup will be at Mount Panorama, Bathurst, on 8-11 October. Bathurst will be followed by the Finals Series, comprising the Gold Coast 500, Sandown 500 and Adelaide Grand Final to conclude the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship.
