Goodwood to expand into America
An established part of the historic racing scene in the UK, the Goodwood Road Racing Club (GRRC) is set to expand into the USA. A first for the GRRC in its almost 30-year history, the American arm of the club will open in 2027, with the first race event in 2028.

Announced at this year’s Festival of Speed, which celebrated American motorsport and car culture, the ‘Goodwood Road Racing Club of America’ will initially be a California-based membership, but the Goodwood experience will expand across the USA in the future.
“I am delighted to be launching the Goodwood Road Racing Club of America,” said The Duke of Richmond (formerly Lord March), owner of Goodwood House and founder of the Festival of Speed and Revival events. “For almost 30 years, the GRRC has been at the heart of everything we do at Goodwood - a wonderfully diverse community brought together by a shared passion for cars and motorsport of every genre. Bringing that spirit to the United States is not only a defining moment for us, but one we believe will resonate across the wider car culture world.
“With California as our starting point, our aim is to create something genuinely new - a club built around unrivalled access, extraordinary experiences and a sense of belonging unlike anything else currently available to enthusiasts in America.”

The American arm of the GRRC will be built around participation, bringing members closer to the cars, drivers and motorsport moments. All manner of automotive tastes will be accommodated, with no constraints on marque or category. To get club members behind the wheel, a year-round calendar of events is planned across California and Nevada, kicking off at Willow Springs International Raceway, located north of Los Angeles, in 2028. GRRC America members will also gain access to Goodwood events in the UK.
Along with track days, the membership programme will include driving tours, private visits and curated social gatherings, culminating in a flagship event held in California. This will be American-themed, but with the “charm, wit and style for which Goodwood is renowned”.
